Ross Hearn and his wife Jo Ellen are avid
NASCAR enthusiast. They have season tickets to
the races in Dallas at Texas Motor Speedway and
have been to every race since the first on April
5, 1997 when Mark Martin (who just happens to be
Jo Ellen's Favorite driver) won the first race
which was in the Busch Series.
On the weekend of June 9th and 10th, they
went down to Dallas for another exciting race
weekend. Typically they drag their travel
trailer and set it up at a park close to the
track. Joining them was one of Ross' customers
and friends from Houston: Jeff and Ann Elzner.
Sean, Ross's son, and his friend Gina Brown were
also in attendance. The Elzners also have a
trailer they park beside Ross and Jo's. They
attended both the Sam's Town 400 Truck Race and
the Indycar Series Bombardier Jet Learjet 500.
After Mike Skinner started on the pole for
the 4th straight time, the truck race was won by
Todd Bodine. While much attention was given to
the female driver Danica Patrick and a fiery
wreck about midway through, the race was
ultimately won by Helio Castronevens. |
